Polartec® Hardface® Velour Fleece with Durable Water Repellent Finish (Sold per Yard)

This 58" wide Polartec® Hardface® Jersey/Velour fleece is a durable, water-repellent fleece. It has an embossed face or a hardface, which is a smoother exterior finish to help hold shape, resist abrasion, and stop snagging for a longer garment life and lasting look. A polymer treatment bonds to every fiber on the outer surface to enhance weather resistance. Hardface fleece is still breathable even with this added finish. The soft interior keeps the warmth and comfort fleece is known for, and some 2-way stretch makes it easy to move in. Moreover, the Polartec® fleece is easy to care for. These first-quality fabrics are heavily discounted when compared to a mill price of $29.86/yd.

• Velour face

Uses

This fabric can be used for hardface fleece outerwear that needs to look good and last, such as jackets, vests, and pullovers that see regular wear in the outdoors. It also works well for shell-style fleece pieces, as well as for hats, gaiters, and other accessories where a smoother, more abrasion-resistant exterior helps the garment hold up over time. Because it combines warmth, breathability, and weather resistance in a single layer, it is a good choice for cool, damp conditions where a full waterproof shell isn’t necessary.
