Cascade Bicycle Saddlebags Sewing Pattern (Sold per Each)

This pattern creates bicycle saddle bags for a rear bike rack to hold all you need when out cycling -- for distance trips, to holding items for a day at the office, to special day trips.  This multi-pocket pattern has a center support with adjustable straps.  The two-way zippered pockets have protective coverings.  The pocket volume is 1700 cubic inches total (28 liters), and each side finishes at 12-1/2"x9-1/2"x5" (31.8x24x12.7cm).  Add reflective trim for extra visibility.

Suggested Fabrics:
Heavyweight waterproof Pack Cloth or Cordura, or any closely woven durable fabric.

Fabric Yardage:
1-1/2 yards (1.4m) ....... 60" (150cm) fabric
1-7/8 yards (1.7m) ....... 45" (115cm) fabric

Notions:
Polyester thread, 5/8 yd (.6m) 1" webbing, 5/8 yd (.6m) 2" webbing, two 1" snap hooks, two 1" sliders, four 1" D-rings, 1-3/8 yd (1.3m) 1" elastic, 3 yd (2.7m) #5 coil zipper, twelve #5 coil zipper pulls, two plastic bag-stiffeners, 1-1/4 yd (1.2m) 1" reflective trim (optional).
