Shipping outside the US seems expensive. Why is that?

We agree that shipping outside the US seems expensive.  Rockywoods uses the shipping rate tools provided by the US Post Office, FedEx, and UPS.  We try and provide the least expensive shipping options but have no control over what those entities charge for shipping.  We provide your address and the package weight, and get a shipping cost back from those tools.
